a.                                                              The Nightfall

During the last month, the melange of various colours had not only helped me append life to this painting of the mesmerising sunset but also to acknowledge the gravity of light and its play. A few things that succoured me to make this painting are as follows; first, that composition is about variety, second, the ‘rule of thirds’ is the key to create balance in paintings, and last but not the least is to make sure that all the shapes, spaces and gaps between the objects are all different.

As the site is close to the sea, and Valencia is so dry, I decided to make water a major element for the whole site using it as a mirror for the architecture.

building is more than a museum, it is art perfectly in the built form. the effects and illusions created by the structure and its surroundings are magnificent. The reflections, the balance of the structure, the play in the façade, the impact it has on our eyes, all that is perfect. But apart from being just beautiful, it extremely pragmatic. Absolute beauty is what describes this form in its truest sense.

While being astonished by the humungous size of structures in fatehpur sikri, I crossed paths with a girl who described the structure perfectly, by being the exact opposite of the buildings around her. I tried to capture her innocence and beauty, her gracefulness and her the curves of her face. This sharply contrasts the rigid, huge and solid building. The toned down colors of the photograph and all the imperfections in the composition make her more beautiful. I would confess that even though I didn’t intent for it to turn out this way, this is one of my most prized and most studied piece of art.
